Snow Chains & Parking

To park overnight during your stay, please make sure you have purchased what is called “resort entry”. You can do this online via:

You must carry snow chains and you will be instructed where to fit these on your drive to Hotham.  Further information:

Snow chains can be hired from many places in Harrietville or Omeo, including Hoys or Snow Monkey in Collingwood. We recommend you call ahead early to book the right size for your vehicle (you’ll be asked for your wheel size which is on the side of your wheels). If you go with Hoys, your chains are fitted & removed for FREE on the way up the mountain (Harrietville approach). We also recommend Roof Carrier Systems service for when you wish to purchase a set of chains for your vehicle.


Temporarily park in the loading zone near the steel staircase on the Omeo side of the Jack Frost Complex (K5 on the Village map):

Bring your luggage into the lodge then move your vehicle to the designated overnight car parking zones for the remainder of your stay. Parking information A free courtesy bus will take you from the carpark to the lodge.

If you’d like someone to move your luggage from your vehicle to Gravbrot:

Hiring equipment – snow chains, skis, snowboards, helmets, clothing,…

Mention you’re staying at Gravbrot to Snow Monkey or Hoys and they’ll give you a 20-25% discount.  Booking earlier can increase your savings. They’re located close to Gravbrot and Snow Monkey can deliver your equipment to Gravbrot.
